Abstract: We report the association of spontaneous splenic rupture in two patients with previously diagnosed hematologic malignancies (chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia) and in one previously undiagnosed patient with essential thrombocythemia. Emphasis on clinical aspects, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic management are made.
