New approches to cerebrovascular arteriopathy

Abstract: Atherosclerosis clinical manifestations such as cerebrovascular
events are among the main morbi-mortality
causes in the world.
The uncontrolled platelet adhesion and aggregation
are the source of the ischemia cerebrovascular clinical
manifestations. Hence the antiplatelet agents are
considered to be the cornstone of its pharmacological
treatment.
Despite the clinical benefit achieved with aspirin,
clopidogrel and others for decrease in a significant
way the risk of atherothrombotic episodes, the residual
morbi-mortality is even high and for this reason
researches in new treatments are carried on in order
to improve its effectiveness and safety.
