Cutaneous T lymphoma in pediatric patients

Authors: Dugo R.1, Manente R.1, Wittmund L.1, Gutiérrez M.1, Maglio S.2, Aversa L.1

Abstract: Cutaneous lymphomas (PCL) are a group of low frequency non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. For its diagnosis, the anatomical-pathological study that allows its classification and subsequent staging is essential. The most common types of PCL in children are cutaneous mature T-cell lymphomas (CTCL) and CD30+ lymphoproliferative diseases. Prognosis depends on the stage of the disease at diagnosis, degree of skin involvement and presence or absence of extra-cutaneous disease. Skin-directed therapies are recommended for patients with localized disease. Four pediatric clinical cases are described with a subsequent review of the current literature.

Key words: pediatric cutaneous lymphoma, mycosis fungoides.
